Black Member Event XI: The Grand Dinner is Coming Up
Almost all of the 126 Black Members have already checked in at The Westin Hotel in Leipzig. After settling in with a champagne reception, the guests are now listening to the welcome speeches from PokerStrategy.com and PokerStars.
It's a sunny day in Leipzig, Germany, and from 1 pm onwards, almost all of the 126 Black Members from Germany, Russia, Spain, Poland, Austria, France, Netherlands, Portugal and Hungary have arrived at The Westin Hotel.
Even though quite a few of the guests have travelled many miles to get there, the atmosphere is relaxed and buzzing with anticipation for the eleventh edition of the Black Member Event. A champagne reception started off the official program.
TwiceT sets his sight on Leipzig
The champagne reception allowed us and the Black Members to mingle and we already had the chance to have a chat with the English community member twicet, well-known among us for his blogging activities.
The Austrian national started the day early in Leipzig with a sight-seeing tour around the city and was not left unimpressed, but he also feels a need to "focus on partying from now on."
Other Black Members also look forward to the Grand Dinner which is titled "Schlaraffenland" ("Land of milk and honey" would be a rough translation). It starts at 8 pm.
Until then, the Black Members will be welcomed by the representatives of PokerStrategy.com and PokerStars through a few short speeches. The sponsor of the Black Member Event is also present through the German Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer.
