This blog stands out among the others in our forums as other than the postings about poker, he also writes a lot about the internal struggles he faces while trying to find meaning and happiness in life outside of poker.
TheLastNail sums it up himself the best when he says, the blog is about "my wading through the jungle of esp real life obstacles".
Hot Poker Thread of the Week
In the poker thread of the week, caltabiano talks you through dealing with the dreaded downswings. The thread is recommended reading for everyone, especially those of you who might be experiencing some tough times in your poker career right now.
In summary, caltabiano's post talks about variance, bankroll management, and managing tilt. We won't be able to do it justice right here, so it's best that you head on over yourself and give it a good read.

Performances of the Week
Not a week goes by without reports of our community members turning in some stellar performances. This week is no exception and here are some of the highlights:
- won $13,912 by coming in first in 2 tournaments
- antonin87 won his first ever tournament, beating 1,001 players
- eaglestar88 is one step closer to qualifying for ECPT Barcelona
- fuzzygoggle won $272, beating 543 players on Full Tilt Poker
- fagin won $200 by taking down his local pub's monthly freeroll
- cojonel and noclaninator also chalked up a win each
Million in a Year - Total Winnings (Week 24): $317,693.03
We are reaching the halfway mark of our yearly challenge and are well on course to beat last year's results. However, as you can see from the graph above, we are still some way off hitting our ultimate $1 million target.
