Look out for a big
interview with this man

Despite telling you otherwise last week, I did not get a bunch of interviews at EPT London last week. Not my fault I am afraid, blame the often complained about rail system we have here in the UK.

However I did not let it slow me down, and I made a supreme effort to make up for that loss. Last week I did three interviews, the first of which is with a November Niner and you will see that later on today. I also have a fantastic interview with Chris Moorman coming your way, which might be the best interview I have done this year.

Expect more interviews for the rest of the year, I really will be doubling down on that from here on in.

It may have been my best interview this year, but Moorman reminded one of the big pitfalls of having to work with poker players; tardiness. Some of my poker media friends warned me that Chris always turns up, eventually, but you will be surprised just how late he can be.

We set the line at 55 minutes late, and he finally turned up after 46 minutes, but was only ready to do the interview after 65 minutes - you could argue either way of which side wins that bet.

His Dad, who I have also interviewed after he won a big tournament himself, was bang on time... just saying.

Having interviewed hundreds of poker players, I have observed about 33% are on time, or even early. Another 33% are a little bit, maybe ten minutes, late. The rest not only forget to show up, they completely blank you when you remind them you had an interview and make you question whether you dreamt the whole thing.

It makes you wonder, does poker make you tardy, or are tardy people attracted to poker because of the lack of structure? I'd go the latter.

So although I am making a pledge that you will see more interviews than ever on the site, don't forget the conditions I am working with here people, I'm not a miracle worker.

Threads of the week

//cdn-origin.pokerstrategy.com/2013/10/12/Crocodile-Dundee.jpgWhat do you do when your opponent is disconnected in a heads-up sit and go? That is what godfather2007 would like to know, as he was unsure of the etiquette.

Yours truly chimed in by saying 'tough luck, bet bet bet' but it seems my mean spirited ways are not the only way to go here, and many of you are very sporting about it indeed.

Have your say on the ethics of this situation in this thread.
