Donkeys Unleashed Crush the Opposition

After 12 weeks of not managing to reach the money, swissmoumout finally managed to cash and placed 136th in the Sunday 200k GTD.

This week, the battle was firmly in the hands of the Donkeys Unleashed and the community team. While the two admin teams struggled to find their form, swissmoumout and cakara took home the victory for the Donkeys Unleashed while plaukas, thedahl, and lotsoflove cashed for the community team.

With $270,79 in cashes, Donkeys Unleashed celebrated a clear money victory - which it topped off with the victory for best average finish. In terms of money won and overall average finish, the community team finished 2nd, followed by Team Tribun and Team SoyCD.

This week's admin battle looked to be exciting as both teams had strong starting lineups. SoyCD was accompanied by two solid players in form of urmo1 and Velak, as well as two BOD record holders, namely damaincontender and cannell555. TribunCaesar also had a strong line-up with multiple ITM finisher Njord41, MTT veteran rhinoneil as well as BOD veteran BuchoCZ, and a promising newcomer Zephorex.

Yet despite the strong line-ups, the admin team performances would not be able to compare to those of the two other teams in the competition. Although Team Tribun managed to land one player ITM (rhinoneil once again demonstrating his MTT experience by reaching 2027th place) it was not enough to gather any points this week. The admin standings are therefore more or less unchanged.

Seemingly cursed - swissmoumout was the only BOD competitor to have played every single BOD while never reaching the money. The spell was ironically broken in his 13th appearance, where luck finally stood by his side as he raged through a field of over 21,000 competitors on a quest to reach the final table. For a while it looked like this was a certainly achievable objective, as he kept his chipstack healthy with aggressive steals and the needed portion of luck. Yet, with 135 people left between him and the sought after first place, the demons of the past once again caught up with him. Finding AA in middle position he re-pushed the UTG raiser, and found himself in a dominant pre-flop position against the other midstacks's 77. The 7 on the flop however all but sealed his fate, and with no help from the turn and river he found himself crippled and out of the tournament in 136th place in the next hand.

Yet combined with the solid performances of his teammates; cakara reaching the money for the third time already, and LuborC busting just 1,000 players before the bubble, he finds himself as the captain of this week's winning team.

Strong performances could also be found in the community team where lotsoflove (who was in the news a few month back) decided to stake several members. One of these, thedahl, nearly reached the deeper money ranks, but was stopped short in 569th place. lotsoflove himself also managed reached the money with a 1,590th place finish, while plaukas who returned to the BOD after a 8 week break, also celebrated his return right where he left off by finishing as 1002nd.

As always, the best 8 players qualify for the community team of the next week. That means thedahl, plaukas, lotsoflove, rhinoneil, cakara, LuborC, overbe and batmanbg are qualified for next week's admin teams.
