Kane "nascar1949" Kalas is a very successful online poker player who has achieved quite a lot in his poker career, in a relatively short period of time. He is also the latest to join the ranks of PokerStrategy.com's guest video producers.

About Nascar1949
Nascar1949 (pictured right) is 21 years old and is currently a full time student at the University of Miami, majoring in Media Management.
Besides spending a lot of time in poker, Nascar1949 also has a whole range of other interests including bowling (all time high score of 299), acting and the opera. He actually wanted to become an opera singer before he caught the poker bug.
He is also particularly passionate about broadcasting and voice over work. This interest runs in the family, as his father was a very well-known baseball broadcaster for the Philadelphia Phillies, while his brother currently broadcasts for the Tampa Bay Rays. He has also done on-air play-by-play announcements in several Phillies games.
He started his professional poker career on the Nl100 tables, but within two months he was already taking on far more experienced players on NL5k. He took part in six events in WSOP 2010, and managed to cash in one of them.
