FL Intercommunity Quiz Battle - Final Evaluation
The German, Russian and English communities were eager to compete in our Intercommunity Battle and participated in three Fixed Limit quizzes. In this final evaluation, we reveal the correct answers and tell you which community emerged as the overall winner of the battle. Read on to find out how the communities did!
The Intercommunity Battle has come to an end and it's time for the results of the third round as well as the overall ranking. Did the German community maintain its narrow lead from the first rounds, or did the Russian and the English communities catch up by picking better lines than the German community?
For the third and final round, our Fixed Limit coaches opabumbi, and picked ten interesting spots to test your postflop skills against different opponent types.
Our coaches were well aware of the fact that all of the selected scenarios from the flop to the river were more than tricky – but they certainly didn't expect that none of the communities would be able to repeat the performance they showed in the previous rounds. Here are the results of round 3:

In round 3, every community was once again asked to answer ten questions and every question awarded up to two points to every participant. We calculated how many points a community scored on average for each question and the average scores were added up to the numbers shown above. The average participant from the Russian community for example scored 1.049 points (10.497 points / 10 questions) per question.
The evaluation shows a familiar distribution of roles. The German PokerStrategists scored the highest number of points on average; the English members found themselves behind although the round had started out quite well for them: In tasks 1 - 3, they picked the correct answers more frequently than their German and Russian counterparts. In task 3, 88% of the English community members agreed that a check/fold would the best option when confronted with aggression from the CO – such a unanimous as well as correct vote could not be repeated by any other community during the rest of the battle.
Unfortunately, things went downhill for the English community after that. The record high in task 3 was followed by a record low in task 6: 92% of the English members voted for a check behind, whereas our coaches would have fired another barrel. This task separated the wheat from the chaff. 52% of the participating Germans answered this question correctly, while only a third of the Russian participants would opt for a bet on the turn.
All in all, the German community scored a little more than 11 points in the third round, which still fell within the average range. The Russians achieved 10.5 points, and the English participants had to be content with an average of 9.57 points and therefore rank 3. How did you like the third round of the Quiz Battle?

The questions became more difficult with every round, the spots trickier and the spectrum of possible answers wider – the final results were close, reflecting the great expertise involved in the 14,543 votes from the three communities. Let's have a look at the final ranking:

Thirty questions, three quizzes, three communities and one winner: The German community is the proud winner of the FL Intercommunity Quiz Battle. With an average of 35.33 points, the German members finished the race before the Russian (33.36 points) and the English (31.13 points) PokerStrategists. A well deserved triumph – the Germans managed to win each of the three quiz rounds, but the Russian and the English communities also did a great job.
We had a lot of fun organising and evaluating this battle, and were excited to proceed from round to round with you.
