Hello there! My name is Mr. Jones and I'm your new forum guide. My duty to fulfil will be to dig up all the goodies on the forums and bring them here. However, I wasn't always a forum guide...so how did I become one? Read on to hear my story as well as the first goodies I've found on the forums this week.
There aren't many folks out there who know on just how much of a tilt treasure hunting can put you. There you are, running down the corridor towards the final room where the treasure supposedly lies in some forsaken pyramid...and what happens? But of course, you get greeted by a flashlight in your face and by the time you realize ancient Egyptians probably didn't have those buried with them, a voice behind the light squeaks - you're too late, again.
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. After coming in second for so many times, I've realized treasure hunting is nothing more but a lottery in which the guy who doesn't misinterpret his map and understands what those hieroglyphs on walls mean usually gets the ancient mummies' treasure first.

So instead of taking path north for my annual Eskimo-treasure hunting (those glaciers must be hiding a treasure or two), I've decided to do things differently this year - and went to Gibraltar to meet with an old friend of mine at my kind of bar, Gibraltar Arms. Ale did its work on my sour memories of all the treasure hunts done in vain, while my ears gulped the words of a new kind of work...
"You're a good adventurer, just using your skills in the wrong business...join us and become a part of the largest poker community out there...our forum hides more treasures than you could ever dream of..."
Words echoed in my moment of silence before I came to a decision - alright, from now on, I'll be PokerStrategy.com's forum guide! "Okay cool, we've got a nickname for you already," my friend replied. A nickname for me, how cool is that! I've never had a nickname before so I anxiously awaited to hear it..."Given your treasure hunting history, we think it would be fitting to name you Fishdiana Jones."
Okay, I admit it, I expected a bit cooler nickname to go along with my whole "turning a new page in life", but Fishdiana is actually not too shabby - as long as you don't make jokes on me and call me Diana, everything is going to be just fine. So what does having fishdianajones as a new PokerStrategy.com member mean? Well apparently, I'll be hunting hot topics and sweet spots on the forum around here.

Though not fond of settling myself at one place for too long, I have to say that the new PokerStars promotion got even a jittery traveler like me tempted to create a Home Game on PokerStars. Pesky and annoying - learn to deal with it
Losing in a treasure hunt race against an annoying person who likes to rub it in isn't all that bad, primarily because you lose once per year at best - not much treasure left for digging out there, eh. However, losing in poker to an annoying regular player is a whole different story.
muel294 found himself in such a spot, being haunted by a certain opponent at various live games he attended. Being ridiculed and at a constant stress of not letting yourself lose to such an annoying individual certainly has its detrimental effects on your game.

Newfound treasury
Digging through piles of sand in hopes of finding some pharaoh treasure can be fun at times, especially if you're digging at the right place, but PokerStrategy.com forum serves as a whole new playground for an adventurer like me.
