GGPoker launches Target Stack Satellites & Mystery Bounty SNGs

Two popular live formats made their way to the virtual felt last week at GGPoker.

The new Battle Royale

Last week GGPoker launched two new formats that embrace popular live variants.

First of all, Battle Royale is now a Mystery Bounty rather than a PKO.

Instead of 30 players in three stages of a PKO (Rush, Shootout, Final Table) it is now 18 players and two stages (Rush then Final Table).

Three players make the money at the finale, but the Mystery Bounties kick in at the final too. The bounty prize pool is shared between all the games in the liquidity and the top single bounty prize is $100,000. There is also a daily leaderboard worth $10,000.

Buy-In Max Bounty 1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place
$0.25 $5,000 $1 $0.75 $0.50
$1 $10,000 $4 $3 $2
$3 $30,000 $12 $9 $6
$10 $100,000 $40 $30 $20

In addition, GGPoker has become the 2nd online operator to host Target Stack Satellites

Rather than award tickets to the players who make the money, a seat is awarded whenever a stack threshold is reached. After which the player and their chips are removed from play.

This format has taken over live poker because it is faster and in some (but not all) instances reduces the need to stall.

Only select events have Target Stack Satellites and so far the regular satellites are still the main format.
