How Didonikolov went from $0.25 to $15 Spins
We chat to a SpinLegends member who went from playing $0.25 Spin & Go's to $15 games in a matter of weeks.
What made you want to join SpinLegends?
: I’ve played Spins for two years but I had a big downswing and withdrew my money. I knew I had to get coaching if I was going to overcome these swings long term, so I asked a friend from PokerStrategy.com and he showed me SpinLegends.
What were the most valuable lessons you have been taught by SpinLegends?
: I can’t tell you, it’s confidential….
Of course it is the ranges you learn, without knowing the right ranges you end up taking some weird lines sometimes. When you know what hands you should play from what positions, when you are tilted you can’t make mistakes. SpinLegends has all the videos needed to become a better player.
You went from $0.25 to $15 Spins in no time at all, what has the progression been like?
: It’s nice, I never imagined I could play at these stakes. Previously I would play well at $7 Spins and want to stay there to keep to my budget, but now everything has changed. Now I see the biggest stakes and want to get there as fast as possible.
"I want to be a semi pro"
Is there a big difference between how tough $15 Spins are compared to the $0.25 Spins?
: I’m learning every day and my game has changed so much, but I have not seen a big difference between $0.25 and $15 Spins. Of course less people call your 25BB push with suited connectors at the $15 level….but it still happens.
The biggest difference is in your head. To be a good player its about thinking about making the best decision, not the money. The right decision at $0.25 is the right decision at the $15s, and maybe even the $100 Spins (we’ll see).
You play in a $7 x200 multiplier game and won $1,400, what was that like? Was there a lot of pressure?
: A lot of pressure. I told my friends on Skype then shut it down, I didn’t want any distractions.
In the beginning I watched what the players did, one was tight and the other was loose aggressive, betting every flop. Of course we need luck in this game and mine came when I pushed with A3 and was called with the Jacks of the tight player, and I turned trip 3s.
Heads-up was easy because my opponent bet every flop so he had a lot of bluffs. The final hand I had Aces and he pushed 8 big blinds with QT.
What is your goal for SpinLegends? Would you like to go pro?
: My goal for SpinLegends is to work together with them for a long time hopefully beyond my contract, but lets see how we go. It’s easy to be a professional in my country, but I will always be a semi pro because my dream job is to be a fireman. Helping people is more important than the money.
