Who is the mid-stack strategy for?
• Players who are switching from a different strategy and want to try one that isn't very difficult to learn.
• Big-stack strategy players who would like to try playing higher limits with less risk.
• Former short-stack strategy players who want a change, but want to keep post-flop decisions simple like in SSS.
Why play the mid-stack strategy?
The mid-stack strategy is well-suited for beginners, poses less risk to your bankroll and is simple to learn. There are many benefits of playing MSS that you don't get by playing the short-stack strategy or big-stack strategy.
While the short-stack strategy is based on a 20BB buy-in and the big-stack strategy is based on a 100BB buy-in, the mid-stack strategy is designed to play with a 40BB buy-in, making it the perfect in-between game.
