News: Moneybookers Security Token Exclusively for PokerStrategists

Many of you have asked for a security token to increase the safety of your accounts. Moneybookers now exclusively offers such a security token to all PokerStrategists for €15 a piece. Before, only Moneybookers VIP members could use this service.

You can now significantly increase the security of your accounts with Moneybookers' exclusive offer for PokerStrategists: Get a security token for €15 a piece.

Up until now, only Moneybookers VIP members were eligible for a security token. To become a VIP member, however, you first have to transfer at least €5,000 to any gaming platform within a single month.

As a member at PokerStrategy.com, you can now simply ignore this requirement: All you have to do to get your token is write an email to pokerstrategy@moneybookers.com, let them know that you are a PokerStrategist and that you would like to buy the token. It is simple:

Send an email to pokerstrategy@moneybookers.com with the email address you used to register with Moneybookers.
When the email support team has replied to your email, simply log in to your Moneybookers account, click on "Security Centre" and order your token. Afterwards you can check the status of your order there.
Activate the token after receiving it in the mail (via FedEx).

If you reach VIP status at Moneybookers at a later date, Moneybookers will reimburse the €15 you invested in the security token and credit it back to your account. Please note, as of the 24th of December 2010, this offer is no longer valid.

Simple but effective

The principle behind the Moneybookers security token is simple but effective: every 32 seconds it generates a code, similar to a TAN, which you need to log in to your account. If you cannot provide this code, you have to verify your identity through alternative security procedures at Moneybookers.

As usual, you will still have to enter your email address and your password to log in. Here is what has changed: You will now be asked to enter the code generated by the token. Press the button on the token and a new code will be displayed for 10 seconds. This is the code that you need to log in.

The token comes with a battery, which should last between five and seven years.

What happens if you lose the security token?

If you lose the token, contact Moneybookers as soon as possible to get it deactivated. You will then receive a new token. Of course, Moneybookers will make sure that you can log in to your account without the token until you receive a new one.
