videos
Another week is behind us and another series of great videos. The most active fish in the PokerStrategy pond was bahmrockk, as he released two new videos, one dedicated to the PLO players and the other to the FL players.

tribuncaesar was feeling adventurous and took on the big sharks in the NL$400, definitely a video you should watch, as he made it specially for the platinum-ranked members. Meanwhile, hasenbraten joined the action with his NL5 short-handed live video played on PartyPoker, which is quite new since PartyPoker did not have SH tables at these limits before.

strategy articles

In case you missed it, a new article has been released on the odds and
outs in tournament poker. Understanding the principle of odds and outs
is important for all formats and forms of poker, but tournament poker
requires it to be viewed from a special perspective.

Just because you have the right chip equity in a certain situation
doesn't necessarily make it +EV in a dollar sense and this article
should help you solve many problems in SnGs related to pot odds, your
equity when making an odds call and perfecting your outs & odds
game in tournaments in general.

quizzes, news and other updates

You arm yourself with all the SSS knowledge you can gain, take your time to find a perfect table to do some fishing and then the worst possible scenario happens - no, Phil Ivey doesn't sit down at the same table, so we are talking about the second worst scenario for your bankroll - another SSS player decides to join the action.

How to approach this situation? On a bright side, you know how that player plays and you can adjust your style accordingly. There is a strategy article dedicated to this topic, so you should read it first, in case you haven't already done so: Short Stack Strategy: How to play against other SSS players?

Once you have read the article and believe that you are ready to take the quiz, don't hesitate to do so and test how good is your play against other SSS players at the table.

Another good way to improve your play are the coachings and we have made a few changes in the coaching schedule. sim87 was holding his Live PLO coaching sessions at 20:00 every week on
Mondays, but from now on, you will have to tune in one hour later, at
21:00.

Some changes were made in the No Limit coaching schedule, as well. gerv will be the new NL SSS Beginner coach to help bronze-ranked members who are making their first steps into the poker world.

gerv will hold coaching session on every Friday from 18:00 to 19:30 with the battleground being no longer Full Tilt Poker, but PokerStars instead. ingolpoker will continue to hold his silver-ranked coaching session each Sunday on Full Tilt Poker and it will last from 18:30 to 20:00.

We have recently introduced a new account system for the PokerStrategy.com Tell-A-Friend program and now you are also offered a so-called contact import function. With just a few mouse clicks, you can comfortably send out messages and invitations to all your contacts on social networks such as Facebook or Twitter, e-mail providers, etc.

You can earn up to $100 for each invited friend who signs up and wants to learn and experience poker together with you. If you wish to find out more about this great opportunity then you can find all the info here.
