Purplefizz Joins the PokerStrategy.com Moderation Team [Interview]
Long-time member, doctor and part-time model Purplefizz has just become a moderator for the English community. See what she had to say about this in an interview we conducted with her. Welcome aboard, Wendy!
Many of you might know her: she has a poker blog with more than 50,000 hits and is written like this, she gives insights on how girls think and she is of the feminine kind. These things are the stuff of fame.
purplefizz, because that's who we are talking about here, has just taken it a step further and she is now a part of our great mod team! We sat down for a short interview with her and she talked about her hobbies, why she chose to become a moderator, her obsession with and more.

Doctor, model, poker player
PokerStrategy.com: Hey there Wendy, good to have you. Tell us a bit about yourself.
purplefizz: I like sunsets, walks on the beach, fluffy pillow fights… wait what are we doing this interview for again?
PokerStrategy.com: It's for... you know… PokerStrategy.com?
purplefizz: Oh! Well then forget what I just said. The truth is, I am actually a doctor and I served the poorest and sickest children in my country for many years. (if you want to read more about that, I have a post in my blog about it).
I used to do a lot of sports like basketball, volleyball, wall climbing but it's been quite a while since I got off the couch now. I also modeled a little just for fun. I've traveled quite a lot in my life and to be honest, I am happiest just chilling at home. I have a wonderful baby who just turned 1. She keeps me from tilting most of the time.

PokerStrategy.com: How did you get to know about PokerStrategy.com? Can you tell us a bit about your poker experience?
purplefizz: I've been a member of PokerStrategy.com since March 2008. I think most of the members here weren't born yet. That was a joke. Not funny? Meh. I wish was here. I've always dreamed of being interviewed by him since his Diamond Interview Series. Is he here? Can I meet him? I thought I would get an autograph out of this at least.
PokerStrategy.com: Uhm yes... he might be in the office. Can we just get back to the topic?
purplefizz: Well yeah it is a bit difficult to be so different in such a young and male dominated field such as poker. No one really takes you too seriously and you get spammed a lot.
Although it has its advantages of course, which are mainly that no one takes you too seriously and you get spammed a lot. I actually just came from a long break from poker and now in my 3rd month of playing since my return. I play NL50 SH at present.
I love this community

PokerStrategy.com: I see... Why did you choose to become a moderator for the English PokerStrategy.com community?
purplefizz: I really love this community. I've never bothered to join other poker forums actually. There are many interesting, nice and friendly people here.
I owe PokerStrategy.com all the progress I've made in poker as well. I've never deposited and just started from the $50 starting capital.
The articles, videos and coachings are great. And I've met people who have turned out to be good friends. You know who I've never met? .
PokerStrategy.com: Oh. Well OK, maybe someday you will. Lastly, can you tell us a bit about your blog?
purplefizz: My blog follows my poker progress somewhat. I'm usually a very private person so it doesn't really have that much real life details. Occasionally I talk about how girls think as well, after I realized how clueless some guys are. Oh yea and there's a lot of spam. Did I mention I get spammed a lot?
PokerStrategy.com: Yes. Yes you did. Thanks a lot for accepting to do this interview! Best of luck in poker and moderating - we're glad to have you on board!
