Poker Music - Remember The Name
Remember The Name by Fort Minor is something completely very different to our country poker classic from last week! This song regularly appears on Top 10 lists of most the inspiring and most motivating songs! There's a reason for that - Remember The Name has lyrics that are universal.
In every field - if you want to be great - you must work hard and not just be motivated by cash alone - "It's not about the salary; It's all about reality and making some noise"! Don't you agree the same can be said about poker?
This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!
Poker Quiz - Push or Fold?
Feeling motivated? If so get training! Today we have for you a few Push or Fold poker questions which will wake up your brain. These hands are from $15 Spin And Go's. What are unexploitable (Nash) pushes, calls and folds for a Hero? Choose wisely!
How did you do? I didn't have a perfect score - 7/8. Shame, shame, shame.
Interview of the week - Olga Iermolcheva

What's your name? Olga Iermolcheva
How old are you? 23 years old.
Where do you live? I am from Kiev, Ukraine. At the moment I'm living in the United States, really enjoying this country. How can I not love the country which gave us our favorite game?!
It's very true Olga, hard not to love. So, poker is your favourite game. When did you start playing poker? I started to play poker five years ago, accidentally. My school friend invited me to play an online Play Money tournament. I liked it so, so much. After that I spent a lot of time playing there and then, reading about poker and watching videos from poker events all over the world. Later, another friend of mine told me about Pokerstrategy free money offer, where I received a free bankroll and all this totally changed my life.

I'm very happy to hear that. Many winning poker pros start their careers with us. And your results are impressive too. You have similar cash results in online and live tournaments. In both you won around $200K. Which format of poker do you prefer? I am playing live tournaments mostly, because it is such fun - to go to new countries, go sightseeing, meet interesting people, try local food and play! I've been to many European cities and still I have long list of places I'd like to visit. Sometimes I like to play 8-Game and Chinese Poker.
In the year 2014 you applied to the program PokerStars Protege. You won it and you had an opportunity to work with legendary Eugene Katchalov? Yes. That was such a great promotion on Pokerstars - everyone could become a protege of a pro. There were four professionals - Eugene Katchalov, Bertrand 'Elky' Grospellier, Vanessa Selbst and Andre Akkari.

You had to win or come 2nd in a special tournament online, then make a video and explain why a coach should pick you as a protege. And at the end after choosing by coach there was a community vote. I won a tournament, my friend made a nice video with me, Eugene chose me and another guy and after I won the vote by a very small margin of votes.
I found out the results of voting when I was in Barcelona for the EPT. That very day I won a €550 deepstack for €25K euro.
I had four lessons with Eugene where we discussed my poker hands and where I realised how big the gap was between me and a real pro. Eugene has an incredible understanding of poker and he is very inspiring person. Though the promotion is over I can ask Eugene for a piece of advice and he will always listen to my bad beat stories. That was really cool promotion!
I don't have a mentor now, but I would like to play cash games in future, so I have to find someone who will be tolerant of this blonde. I have no poker idols but I admire hard working players like Romeopro. He is a great person to look up to.

What are your poker plans for the closest future and longterm plans? I play local tournaments at Blackhawk which is close to my place where I live now. I think I will go for some events in November-December, then the PCA in January.
I am still looking for a big trophy and one day it will happen for sure. Speaking about life dreams most of all I want my family to be happy and I will do everything I can for that.
Thank you very much for an interview Olga! All the best & good luck at the tables!
