The river is the last street in Hold'em poker, as no more cards are left to save anyone or change the course of the hand. As dramatic as this may sound, the finality of the river does indeed strongly influence the play on this street.

Confronting such a wide spectrum of possibilities, you will have to leave the realm of fixed betting sequences in order to effectively react to the situation - the toughest of spots requires you to put your entire arsenal of poker knowledge to use.
