The Future of Team PokerStrategy.com

Our Team has been around for two years now, find out here how we want to evolve and how our community will benefit.

Background

Team PokerStrategy.com was launched as a team of contracted players to create a win-win situation for our community and the ambitious, aspiring tournament players amongst our members.

Benefits for our community
• Foster connections between excellent (tournament) coaches
• Cost efficiency thanks to the staking model

Benefits for Team players

• Insurance against really high variance
• Increased popularity - for example, assisting Tobias 'PokerNoob' Reinkemeier to get a team contract with a poker platform

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who is or was a member of Team PokerStrategy.com, as well as Team Captain and cornerstone of the Dutch Community, Robbie. Your contributions over the past two years have been fantastic and have provided the community with many hours of entertainment: following forum tickers, looking at picture galleries and reading reports. Thank you!

The future

Team PokerStrategy.com won't be continuing, at least, not in it's current incarnation. The main reason for this is that the work required to maintain the Team outweighs the benefits. Moreover, we can provide our community and aspiring tournament players with what's important in a different and simpler fashion. Read on to find out how we want to do this in the future...

Coaching videos
PokerStrategy.com managed to secure lots of additional content from top video producers over the past few months, so we can offer you a much better deal in this area. What's more, some previous Team players will continue to produce videos. We will also invest the newly freed up resources into improving our video offer.

Coverage of live events
We'll forge the way to continually improving our coverage of large tournaments. Through cooperation with organisers such as the WPT, through reporters on the ground and through the support of our community members, we'll be able to tailor our live coverage even more to our community in the future. This has lots of potential as during the era of Team PokerStrategy.com, in the preparation and early phases of many big tournaments, time was too short for community members to create reports in many tournament fields.

Promoting aspiring tournament players
As the world's biggest poker portal, we want to put all our energy into creating a platform for our successful and aspiring members. We want to showcase our Community Stars as is fitting, with player portraits and video interviews.

The next live events

After the WSOP, big tournament series such as the EPT and the WPT will kick off new rounds in the coming weeks. Are you starting in any of these or other events? Let us know in the forum so our reporters on the ground can follow your progress.

Do you have any suggestions as to how we can make our coverage of events and community members even better? Then just give us some feedback.
