Thorsten77 Joins Team PokerStrategy.com
Team PokerStrategy.com has a new member. As of now, German high stakes player and coach Thorsten77 plays for our pro team.
A team from the community, for the community! This motto is strengthened by Thorsten Schäfer, also known as thorsten77, joining Team PokerStrategy.com as of today.
"Team PokerStrategy.com is a great opportunity for me, since I haven't played that many live events so far. I'm happy to be in the team because PokerStrategy.com helped me become successful, and I hope that I can give something back to the community now".
Thorsten77 has been playing poker since 2006, starting out on Fixed Limit and later switching to No Limit. In the German community he was initially active as a hand evaluator and moderator, and soon also established himself as a video producer.
As a Black Member, he certainly belongs to the top players in our community. Thorsten has since reached the high stakes and mainly plays at NL1000 and NL5000.
"I will always try to do my best"
In addition, the German player has also experienced success at big live events. He has spent a month in Las Vegas this year playing at the World Series of Poker, and ranked 8th in a $5,000 6-max tournament. Although this achievement did not win him the golden Bracelet, he did take home around $100,000. In the ECOOP main event, the new Team PokerStrategy.com member finished in third place and won around $120,000.
Thorsten77 is enthusiastic about taking on the challenge with Team PokerStrategy.com and says: "I will always try to do my best. If I manage to bring my best game to the table, I can be content - and it will lead to success in the long run."
Thorsten's debut with the team takes place on August 28th at the EPT Vilamoura in Portugal. Right after that he will fly to Cannes to participate in the Partouche main event on September 2nd. He will have to pay a buy-in of 8,500 euros in Cannes to join the race for a guaranteed prize pool of 3 million euros.
