US Proxies Blocked on PokerStrategy.com

From this day on, members using US IPs or US-based proxies will not be able to log in anymore. This change comes due to legal issues beyond our control.

Due to legal reasons, we will have to block all US-based proxies and IPs from accessing the PokerStrategy.com page while logged in.

In 2006, US lawmakers passed the so called Unlawful Internet Gambling Act (UIGEA). Whilst we believe that it does not apply to PokerStrategy.com, as a
legal precaution, it is our policy not to service customers that are
currently residing in the USA, which is also why you had to indicate
that you do not live there when registering.

If and when the legal situation in the USA changes we hope to also
accept US players - but until then we have decided to avoid the legal
grey area associated with the decision.
