New improvements for our rake races
In January we announced a set of improvements for our rake races, but we will continue improving them in February as well.
For example, the prize pool for the Cake Poker race has now been quadrupled, thus reaching a whopping $60,000! However, this race is being held by Cake Poker for a small group of selected partners. As a result, there will also be players from outside PokerStrategy.com participating.
We imagine that this change by Cake Poker, which has substantially expanded the player pool, will keep the race as good as ever for our players, if not make it even better.
Here is a short change log regarding the February rake races:
- Full Tilt Poker: Prize pool increased from $40,000 to $45,000
- Cake Poker: Prize pool increased from $15,000 to $60,000; 300 places are now paid
- Poker Heaven: Instead of one monthly race, there will be four weekly races (Monday - Sunday) with a total prize pool of $10,000 ($2,500 for each race)
- Unibet: Prize pool increased from $8,000 to $10,000
- Pacific Poker: Rake race duration reduced to 3 weeks (Feb. 1 - Feb. 21); after this date, 5 weekly races with a prize pool of $50,000 will begin
How do I take part?
In order to participate in these rake races, here is what you need to know:
- Goal: Earn as many StrategyPoints as possible until the end of the month
- Requirements: Open to all PokerStrategy.com members. All you need is a poker room account created via PokerStrategy.com
- Period: 01.02.2010 - 28.02.2010
- Registration: You do not need to register to take part in these rake races - you can participate if you just have an account created through PokerStrategy.com. What is a Rake Race?
In a rake race, the aim is to collect as many
StrategyPoints as possible at a specific partner poker room of PokerStrategy.com. The players with the most StrategyPoints at the end of the month will get a share of the prize pool. The race runs over the course of one month.
To collect StrategyPoints, you simply need to be a PokerStrategy.com member and have a tracked account at the poker room where the rake race is taking place.
You can, of course, take part in several rake races at the same time. There is no time limit as to when you can start playing and collecting StrategyPoints. However, the earlier you start, the higher your chances of winning.
