WSOP Player Profile: Erika Moutinho - Last Woman Standing
Erika Moutinho is the only surviving woman in this year's WSOP Main Event. Of the 57 remaining players, she ended Day 6 in 40th place with over 2 million chips. Keep reading to find out more about the last woman standing.
Day 6 of the Main Event started with only three women - Claudia Crawford, Amanda Musumeci and Erika Moutinho. All bets were on Crawford to be the final female, since she was the only one of them to start the day with over one million chips. However, she was surprisingly the first of the three to go.
Twenty-two busts later, Musumeci was eliminated in 63rd place, deeming Erika as the last woman in the event. The 25-year-old from Easton, Connecticut was on a roll, but not before meeting a familiar opponent.
Shortly after Musumeci busted, Erika was sent to the featured table. Eventually she was met with none other than her boyfriend, David 'Doc' Sands.
The top pair in the ME
The couple played together for the last 45 minutes of the day. Erika admitted that she'd probably have the upper hand if they were in a pot against each other since David taught her how to play poker and she knew how he played.
During the break Erika said, "it's nice to have someone comfort you and be in it together." Let's just hope this doesn't end in a heads-up battle or else someone will be sleeping on the couch.
Regardless, they are both guaranteed a prize of at least $100,000 - not bad considering it's Erika's first Main Event.

This time she won't be sitting with her man, but instead with three players in the top 10 - Phil Collins (7,240,000), Nelson Robinson (6,420,000) and Tri Huynh (6,295,000). Good luck Erika!
