Have a bet on the Premier League season 2017/18
The football season is back, so let's take a look at the prices on offer in England's top league.
Sadly, the summer is almost over. But, on the plus side, the top flight football in England makes its return this weekend which, depending on your team, can either cheer you up or make feel much, much worse. Either way, make things more fun with a bet on the Premier League.
Defending champions Chelsea had a rather unsettled summer, selling one key player to rivals Manchester United while seemingly happy to let last year’s star striker Diego Costa, pining for a move back to Madrid, rot in reserves. They did, however, reinforce their forward line with another Spanish international in Alvaro Morata.
Last year’s runners up and Wembley squatters, Tottenham, look likely to hold on to their lot, save for the inevitable deadline day helicopter pursuit that should bring in at least one new face. And while they look like losing their second first choice full back of the summer window, they still possess the talent and goals of England’s Dele Alli and Harry Kane.
Manchester City are favourites with the bookies. They have spent another fortune fine tuning their squad and improving the goalkeeping options as well as pinching Kyle Walker from Spurs, weakening the team that finished directly above them last time around.
Squad depth issues
Liverpool made it back into the top four last season but have been quiet in the transfer market in comparison to their rivals and, with the added strain of European Football, might suffer for squad depth, especially in defence where they have been light on quality for years now.
Arsenal kick off tonight against miracle champions from two seasons ago Leicester City and, in Alexandre Lacazette, should now have the goal scoring talent to finish off those fancy moves their immovable manager likes them to make.
Jose Mourinho has spent another small fortune, this time hoping to improve upon last year’s disappointing 6th place finish. Spending £75m on Everton’s Romelu Lukaku should no doubt help with that.
