TOP 250: March Race Week 2 Over

The TOP 250 race for March has entered its third week just now, with F3rt still clinging to the first place. However, isodis and DieHandGotte are hot on his tail and anything can happen until the end of this month.

The March TOP 250 promotion kicked off two weeks ago, having f3rt in the leading position. This month also marked the start of our Top 10 Jackpot promotion, where the best 10 players from each community will also fight for an extra $1,750 prize pool.

The second week of the TOP 250 March promotion has just ended, with f3rt still hanging on to the #1 spot with 57,423
points.

Regarding our own community, we see that the first three spots have remained unchanged since last week: frzl still leads our ranking, having accumulated 12,580
StrategyPoints, almost twice as much compared to last week. Should he
keep his spot until the end of the month, he will be awarded a
guaranteed $500 from the Top 10 Jackpot promotion.

cakara takes the second
place for this week again with 9,751 points and he has a shot at winning
$400, the corresponding prize for this spot, while karmolll is just behind him with 9,691 points and the chance to win $300 at the end of March.

What we notice, compared to last month, is the absence of players like mcneil or twicet
from the Top3 rankings - however, they are still amongst the best 10
players and they can still make it to the top in the remaining weeks.

While frzl has quite an edge against his competitors in terms of points, the same
thing cannot be said about the other 9 players, as the point gap is too
little to be taken into consideration. This means that there is no
certain winner here and anything can happen in the upcoming two weeks -
they all have a shot at the big prize.

Between the 1st and the 31st of March 2009, our English community
members will have the opportunity to show their skills and be rewarded
with up to $500. The ten PokerStrategists who have accumulated the most points by the end of that period will get their share of the
$1,750 prize pool.

TOP250 Promotion: overall ranking

Now let's take a look at the overall rankings. Just like last week, f3rt is in first place, followed by isodis with 55,592 points. That means this month the battle for first place is far from over, as there are only around 2,000 points separating the two players.

Ranked third is another Black Member, diehandgottes, who jumped 2 spots from last time and now he has 49,198 points.

Let's take a look at the overall top 10 so far in March:

In March, the best 10 PokerStrategists from our community will play to get a share of the $1,750 prize pool.

In case one of our community members has managed to be both among the best 250 players of the TOP250 promotion
and among the Top Ten Jackpot promotion, he or she will receive the
higher prize of the two. The lower prize will go into our international
jackpot.

Below you can see the detailed payout structure for the Top Ten prizepool:

The TOP10 Jackpot Promotion will take place in all of our 14
communities. The more players manage to finish within both the TOP10 of
their respective community and the overall TOP250, the bigger the
international jackpot will be.

Example: If all German and Russian Top Ten players reach the Top250 -
which is likely - the jackpot will be $3.500. Every other Top Ten
player who manages to get into the Top250 will make the jackpot even
bigger!

At the end of the promotion we will have a lottery. Every
member who has collected at least 3,000 StrategyPoints during the month
of March qualifies for lottery tickets, no matter if he is in one of
our TOP promotions or not: Members who collect at least 3,000
StrategyPoints will get one lottery ticket each and members who collect
at least 7,500 StrategyPoints will get two lottery tickets each.
Thereby you will simultaneously reach the Platinum or Diamond status
respectively.

Three of the lottery ticket holders will get their share of the
jackpot: 50% will go to number 1, 30% to number 2 and the remaining 20%
to number 3.
