Top 250 April: Results Are In!
The final standings for our Top 250 April promotion are in and our community member Opal99 got very close to entering the top 30. The first place went to Caber, while DuneBuggy had to settle for 2nd.
This month was a very special one for our English community, as we managed to have 9 members reaching the money, all of them being lead by opal99.
However, due to an unfortunate accident, opal99 could not perform up to his own standards and he finished lower than expected.
Nevertheless, a 1st place in our English rankings and a 32nd place in the international Top 250 with 43,510 StrategyPoints are two impressive accomplishments, so we should all congratulate him. He was rewarded $500 this month for his efforts.
Ranked second was another Slovakian member, thelastnail, who amassed a total of 25,699 points and finished 83rd overall, earning an additional $200.
The third place in April goes to cakara, as he accumulated a total of 21,969 points this month and finished in the money, just like terrorblade, twicet and . They each got a spot within the April Top 250, earning an extra $100.
All in all, 6 out of the original 8 English community members finished in the money this month, an extra reason to be proud of them. Here are our best 10 players at the end of April:

Regarding the overall standings, we just witnessed a rather unexpected win: caber managed to get 151,490 StrategyPoints and took the first place away from dunebuggy, who dominated the rankings in the last weeks. This means that caber earns the big $10,000 prize, while dunebuggy receives $6,000 for his 2nd place finish.
Ranked third was no surprise though. f3rt held on to his spot for the last few weeks and he didn't let go until the end of the month. He will receive $4,000 for his spot in this month's race.
Thanks to his first place finish in April, caber grabbed his first gold medal, just like diehandgottes did not long ago. However, the medal leader for 2009 is f3rt, as he managed to finish first in our Top 250 promotion twice.

Due to problems on the side of the of the poker platforms there are
sometimes be delays or gaps in our TOP250 ranking updates. We always
try to acquire the missing data as quickly as possible and will also
make you aware of where the current gaps are.
All the rankings are up to date, except for InterPoker, which has four days of data missing.
As we reported in this news, the Top 10 Jackpot promotion is back. Between the 1st and the 31st of May 2009, our English community
members will have the opportunity to show their skills and be rewarded
with up to $500. The ten PokerStrategists who accumulate the most
StrategyPoints by the end of that period will get their share of the
$1,750 prize pool.

In this year as well, we will distribute at least $1,200,000 in bonuses within the TOP250 promotion
alone. The top finisher of
this month will, as usual, receive a $10,000 bonus. We wish all of our community members good luck and a successful May!
