Top 250 May: Slovakia Leading Week 2
The second week of our dual Top 250 and Top Ten Jackpot promotions sees 2 Slovaks pairing up to lead our rankings. Their names? Opal99 and TheLastNail.
The month of May brings you not one, but two big promotions: besides the well-known Top 250 promotion, where the PokerStrategy.com players from all the communities compete for a prize pool of a whooping $100,000, we have returned with the Top Ten Jackpot promotion.
The Top Ten Jackpot promotion addresses the best 10 players from each community, as they are racing for $1,750 and the Jackpot built by all communities over a period of 3 months.
Regarding the rankings at the end of Week 2, we see that Slovakia has sent two of its finest players to conquer our leaderboard and take the highest Top Ten Jackpot prizes: opal99 and thelastnail.
opal99 is still maintainning his lead, having accumulated 12,504 StrategyPoints so far, while his countryman, thelastnail, is catching up. While he was in 6th place last week, he has now climbed 4 spots, having 10,984 points.
Ranked third is our Fixed Limit video producer, coach and WarCraft III fan, terrorblade, who is dangerously close to thelastnail, as he now has 10,196 points, just 800 points less than the runner-up.

Between the 1st and the 31st of May 2009, our English community
members will have the opportunity to show their skills and be rewarded
with up to $500. The ten PokerStrategists who have accumulated the most
points by the end of that period will get their share of the
$1,750 prize pool.
Ranked fourth is f3rt, who accumulated 54,816 points and is up one spot compared to last week, switching places with nexby, who now has 53,512 points.

In May, the best 10 PokerStrategists from our community will play to get a share of the $1,750 prize pool.
In case one of our community members has managed to be both amongst the best 250 players of the TOP250 promotion
and the Top Ten Jackpot promotion, he or she will receive the
higher prize of the two. The lower prize will go into our international
jackpot.

The TOP Ten Jackpot Promotion will take place in all of our 14
communities and will be repeated also in June and July. The money which has gone into the jackpot in May, June and July will then be divided among the winners. The more players manage to finish within both the TOP10 of
their respective community and the overall TOP250, the bigger the
international jackpot will be.
Example: At the end of our Top Ten Jackpot promotion in March the jackpot was $6,800. If this amount will be collected as well in the months of May, June and July, the overall jackpot would be an astonishing $20,400!
After the end of the promotion we will have a lottery. Every
member
who has collected at least 3,000 StrategyPoints during one month
qualifies for lottery tickets, no matter if he is in one of
our TOP promotions or not.
Members who collect at least 3,000
StrategyPoints during one month will get one lottery ticket each, while members who collect
at least 7,500 StrategyPoints during one month will get two lottery tickets each.
Thereby, you will simultaneously reach the Platinum or Diamond status
respectively.
Example: If you collect 3000 SP in May, 7500 SP in June and 3000 SP in July you will get a total of 4 tickets for the lottery.
5 of the lottery ticket holders will get their share of the
jackpot: 30% will go to number 1, 25% to number 2, 20% to number 3, 15% to number 4 and the remaining 10%
to number 5.

Due to problems on the side of the of the poker platforms there are
sometimes be delays or gaps in our TOP 250 ranking updates. We always
try to acquire the missing data as quickly as possible and will also
make you aware of where the current gaps are.
In this case, the updates are as of 18.05.2009 and delayed are bwin, Cake Poker, Everest Poker and PokerStars (as of 17.05) as well as 888.com Pacific Poker (as of 11.05).
In this year as well, we will distribute at least $1,200,000 in bonuses within the TOP250 promotion
alone. The top finisher of
this month will, as usual, receive a $10,000 bonus. We wish all of our community members good luck and a successful May!
