Unibet Announces €150,000 Rake Races and More
Two new promotions have just been revealed by Unibet. The first one are rake races which will give Unibet players a chance to win their share of the €150,000 prize pool. The other promotion will focus on tournament players, as they'll be able to compete in a STT and MTT leaderboard with a total of €20,000 up for grabs.
Unibet has announced new promotions that players will be able to take part in next year. If you are a cash game player, you will be able to participate in rake races and if you are a tournament player, there will be special leagues for both STT and MTT players.

€150,000 Rake Race
To kick off the new year, Unibet will host three rake races with €50,000 up for grabs in each. The races will be held in January, February and March, starting at 00:00 GMT on the first day of the month and ending at 23:59 GMT on the last day of the month.
To win your share of the €50,000, all you need to do is be among the top 200 rakers at the end of the month. You will receive 5 points for every $1 raked on any cash game tables. Leaderboard Points will be updated daily by 18:00 GMT from January 7, 2011. Detailed info on the prize payout can be found here.
€20,000 Leaderboard
If you are more fond of tournaments, Unibet will also host a promotion aimed at Single Table Tournament and Multi-table Tournament players. There will be two individual leaderboards for STT and MTT players, with €10,000 up for grabs in each.
Top 20 players on the STT leaderboard will win their share of the €10,000. You will earn 1 leaderboard point for each € STT fee contributed on any Unibet STT, excluding heads-up games. Detailed info on the prize payout structure can be found here.
Likewise, top 20 players on the MTT leaderboard will also win their share of the €10,000 prize pool. The top 20 players total points at the end of the month will be added and players will receive a % of the prize money determined by the number of points they’ve earned.
MTT leaderboard points will awarded on the following tournaments:
- Daily €30K (except Sunday)
- Daily €10K (except Sunday)
- 09:00 - €2,000 GTD REBUY
- 10:00- €3,000 GTD TURBO REBUY (6 seat)
- 14:30 - €4,000 GTD TURBO REBUY
- 19:15 - €500 GTD SUPER TURBO
- 19:45 - €1,000 GTD Holdem REBUY
- 20:45 - €1,000 GTD Holdem REBUY
- 21:45 - €1,500 GTD REBUY TURBO
- 22:45 - €1,500 GTD REBUY TURBO
You’ll receive points for the above tournaments based on the following calculation: Square root of ((Buy in X No.Players)/position).
