First Black Member party of PokerStrategy.com
PokerStrategy.com introduced the new "Black" status and invited the Black members to a Party.
On Friday the 17th of August 2007 we celebrated together with our black members for the first time. Our Black members are players who collected at least 500,000 StrategyPoints for PokerStrategy. Because you cannot reward these players with cash or bonuses PokerStrategy.com offered them something special.
In the afternoon the players checked in at the SIDE Hotel in Hamburg, Germany. After a short break they went to a tailor to get a tailor-made suit. The suit will be of black color with a discreet PokerStrategy logo and the first and last name as embroidery in the lining.
The Schneider Staben (Tailor Staben) at the Rathausmarkt of Hamburg is very recommendable. Normally one has the impression that tailors are old and grumpy human beings, which are very formal. Tailor Staben was the complete opposite because he was joking all the time and very friendly. We will see in a few weeks how good the quality of his work really is.
At 7.30 p.m. our Black members had dinner in the Restaurant Haerlin of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten (Hotel Four Seasons). They got a six-course menu which had 17 Gault-Mileau-points. A dapper ambience as well as carefully selected wines and meals showed that this restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Germany.
After a total of more than four hours in the restaurant the highlight of the night took place: the Black member party in the Café Keese. Because they had wine, champagne, cognac and whiskey during the dinner there was no pregaming necessary and the party started right away. A big VIP-Lounge with enough champagne and Vodka Red Bull was our chillout lounge and the basis for the night.
In former times the Café Keese on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg was a dancing club for old people, where the women ask the men for a dance. Today there are parties from time to time and the Quatsch Comedy Club (German comedy TV show) takes place there once a week.
This evening there was a "Pascha Party" and the people who know the "Pascha" in Munich can imagine what kind of people were the guests. H.P. Baxxter from Scooter was there as well as the teenie band Tokyo Hotel.
At 4 o'clock in the morning the party in the Café Keese was over but some of the guests did not want to stop the party and celebrated in the China Lounge.
All in all the black members got a very special event and we are looking forward to the next party.
