Jesse Yaginuma wins 4th WSOP bracelet in three years
Yaginuma won over a million for taking down the Millionaire Maker and an extra million from the World Poker Tour in a special promotion.
A staggering 11,996 entries for the $1,500 Millionaire Maker, and this year the name of the event really was prophetic.
Jesse Yaginuma took it down for $1,255,180 after defeating James Carroll heads-up.
However, the big story was that Yaginuma was the second player to qualify for a WPT Club Gold promotion, where anyone who qualified, then won a WSOP bracelet, got an extra $1 million from the World Poker Tour.
This has also led to some accusations that his heads-up opponent, James Carroll, chip dumped to him when they got heads-up, suggesting they may have had a private deal (deals are not allowed in WSOP tournaments). You can decide for yourself with the video above. One might argue that even if that was the case, it was not unethical, given that both parties and probably WPT Club Gold were happy with the outcome.
This was Yaginuma's 4th WSOP bracelet in three years, having previously won three online bracelets.
