ESPN Inside Deal with Mark Seif

This week's feature guest on Inside Deal was two time WSOP bracelet winner Mark "Un" Seif. Topics that were discussed on the show ranged from Seif's family life to his picks to win the Main Event.

Mark SeifESPN's Inside Deal was missing one of its cast members this week as hostess Laura Lane went on vacation and was not available for the show this week. For the feature guest in Episode 6, two time WSOP bracelet winner Mark Seif (pictured right) was invited to join the show to talk about a wide variety of topics.

The show started off with host Andrew Feldman needling Seif for how he always gets his pocket aces cracked in tournaments, and how much money that has cost him. In one hand, Vivek Rajkumar cracking his Aces actually cost Seif almost 1.2 million in potential tournament winnings.

It's tough being a poker playing dad

ESPN Inside DealOne of the first topics to be discussed was how Seif's family life has affected his performance in tournaments. "My beatiful two little girls Sarah and Ashley have definitely cost me $10 million," said Seif jokingly. "I used to win," he added.

Despite being able to relax with his family after tournament days, bringing his family along on the tour did not quite work out for him. He went on to explain that, he believes 2010 will be a much better year for him as things have started to become more stable at home and he will be able to put more focus back into poker.

After that, there was also some discussion on Darvin Moon's reluctance to sign a deal with any major poker site. Seif then went on to pick the Scandinavians as his favourite poker playing nations, other than the Americans who he felt were definitely the strongest around.

The show ended with Seif making Phil Ivey his top pick to take down the Main Event. He explained that Ivey will be focused on winning, and 2nd or 9th place would not make any difference to him.
