PokerTracker announces beta version of their new software, PokerStars launches line-up of Saturday tournaments and Jeffrey Pollack's "Federated Sports And Gaming" acquires the "Heartland Poker Tour".
PokerTracker 4 announced
PokerTracker celebrates its 10th anniversary with the release of PokerTracker 4 (PT4). The beta version is expected to launch in the third quarter, the full version in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Besides Hold'em Manager (HEM) PokerTracker is one of the most popular online poker tools on the market. While some say that software such as HEM and PT4 gives players an unfair advantage, they have become indispensable for many online players.
Some of the new features of PT4 include an easier-to-read, more functional HUD; a so-called LeakTracker is designed to help you plug major leaks in your game; replays can now be uploaded on YouTube and other social networks in no time.
On top of that, the "Global Player Scatter Graph" allows you to identify "statistical anomalies" at the table - and remember, these are only some of the new features!
New tournament line-up at PokerStars
Sunday has traditionally been the most important day of the week for regular online tournament players. From June 25th, MTT fans should also mark Saturdays on their calendars. Why? PokerStars is launching a brandnew "Saturday Line-Up"!
There are seven tournaments in total, the buy-in ranges from $2.22 to $55. You can choose from six No Limit Hold'em tournaments and one Pot Limit Omaha event.
For the very first Saturday Line-Up, PokerStars has come up with a special treat for all participants. If you register for one of the tournaments on June 25th and don't make it into the money, you will receive a free ticket for the same event, which can be used in the following weeks before it expires.

FS+G acquires "Heartland Poker Tour"
The "Heartland Poker Tour", launched in 2005, has long been in the shadow of more illustrious tournament series such as the EPT, WPT and the WSOP.
However, the statistics are quite impressive: In the seven seasons of the HPT so far, there have been a total of 90 events with over 81,500 participants and a prize money of around 28.6 million dollars.
Following the recent acquisition of the HPT by "Federated Sports And Gaming", we might soon see a massive boost in those numbers. FS+G founder Jeffrey Pollack, WSOP commissioner until 2009, surprised the poker world at the start of this year when he announced the launch of his own poker league.
It's unclear at this stage what exactly the collaboration between the two parties will look like - we will definitely keep you updated on this.
