EPT Monte Carlo: ScHnibL0r in the Lead

The European Poker Tour main event at Monte Carlo played its first day on Sunday. Team PokerStrategy.com joined the action and ScHnibL0r is the chip leader at the end of Day 1A.

A total of 351 players entered Day 1A of the PokerStars European Poker Tour at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Amongst the starting field we also saw four members of Team PokerStrategy.com at the tables:

• Allanon
• Bokkie
• Bongbob
• ScHnibL0r

Several PokerStrategists also joined our players, including fa_morgoth, jan1000, lechuckpoker, hotkarlmc and predator666. However, only the first two managed to survive and they will play in Day 2 with 35,000 and 46,500 chips respectively.

ScHnibL0r is Day 1A chip leader

Team PokerStrategy.com member ScHnibL0r (pictured right) finished the day at the top of the leaderboard, having a stack of 175,200 chips. Bokkie will also be part of the Day 2 starting field, as he finished the day with 48,000 chips.

However, fellow team members Allanon and Bongbob will not be seen at the tables on Tuesday, as they did not make it past Day 1A.

Day 1B will start soon and PokerNoob will join the player field. PokerStrategists fabstinho, vedevas, draction, infinity1000 and geniodelletartarughe will also take part in the main event.

CuCbKu is sick and will unfortunately not play in Day 1B as planned. Get well soon, Andrey!

Some of the notable names that will also play in Day 2 include the likes of Chris Moneymaker, Greg Raymer, Neil Channing and Men Nguyen. Other big poker names such as Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Barry Greenstein were sent to the rail during this first play day.
