PokerStrategist Wins WSOP Title
Belgian PokerStrategist Michael kaytor Gathy has taken down his first WSOP title after fighting his way through a mammoth field of 2,799 players in Event #21.
The $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event contained a mixture of satellite qualifiers, amateurs and pros.
Indeed, the final table contained some notable faces, including Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin and the infamous multi-accounter Josh “JJProdigy” Field.
However, after battling through the pack, kaytor eventually edged ahead of Jamie Armstrong when just the two of them remained.
Gathy then found himself on the right side of a cooler when he moved all-in with pocket tens and found a caller in Armstrong with pocket nines.
The $440,820 was the biggest cash of his career, but more importantly than that the win earned him a place within the WSOP record books.

FS+ G Up For Sale

| FS+G and Duke's epic fail |
Federated Sports + Gaming (FS+G), the bankrupt company behind the Epic Poker League, is set to be auctioned off later today.
The invite only event will involve five interested parties according to reports, with All In Production LLP (the Heartland Poker Tour) being one of them.
If All In Production can purchase FS+G’s assets then it will go some way to repairing the damage caused by the company's botched takeover.
Indeed, FS+G's unfinished acquisition of the HPT left the company with an uncertain future.
However, since then they have worked hard to rebuild their operations and become a much stronger entity if they prevail in the auction.
Also involved in the bidding process will be William Hill PLC, Pinnacle Entertainment Inc and two unnamed management and investment companies.
The results of the process will be announced tomorrow.
WSOP Snippets
Getting knocked out of a tournament is never fun, but if you can’t see the funny side of things then you’re never going to make it far in the poker world.
One player who doesn’t mind taking the rough with the smooth is Adam Junglen. The American pro, who has to wear a prosthetic leg, took his elimination from Event #26 in his stride.
After flopping the nuts against two players, a cruel twist of fate sent him to the rail. However, while his luck was out, his spirits weren’t as he took to Twitter soon afterwards to post the following tweet:

Adam’s not the only player who has found time to blow off some WSOP steam through the social messaging site.
Daniel Negreanu has also been filling the void left by his lack of Weekly Rants, by tweeting some of his thoughts.

Also adding a healthy sum of money to their bankroll was Phil “takechip” D’Auteuil. The Canadian’s short session earned him a profit of $52,157.
“wilhasha” suffered a reversal of fortune yesterday after going from the previous day’s biggest winner, to losing over $80K in the last 24 hours.

Daily Signoff
You can't become a WSOP Champion without a little bit of luck and Jonathan Duhamel got just that when he tangled with Matt Affleck in 2010.
