PokerStrategist's High Roller Success

It took just four hours for PokerStrategist Vojtech 'vojtar' Ruzicka to overcome a tough final table and scoop €313,000 in yesterday's EPT Deauville High Roller.
A rush of eliminations saw Steve Silverman (€47,500) and Bryn Kenney (€64,100) hit the rail, before onetime chip leader Martin Jacobson (€83,200) surrendered his chips to Ruzicka.
With three players down and just three remaining, Ruzicka and Timothy Reilly conspired to oust Alexandre Reard in third place for €105,700.
Holding even stacks, it looked as though Reilly was going to cruise to victory as his aggressive style forced Ruzicka to bleed a lot of chips early in the match.
However, a shift in fate with pocket jacks soon handed Ruzicka the momentum and the chip lead.
A few hands later and after limping pre-flop, Reilly eventually moved all-in on board with
.
Ruzicka made the quick call with and once the inconsequential
fell on the river, Reilly had to content himself with second place and €180,000, while Ruzicka claimed the title.
Community's charity efforts

| Annette doing her bit |
Benevolence seems to have descended over the poker community recently with some of the game's most recognisable figures doing their bit for charity.
As a precursor to next month's EPT London Main Event, PokerStars' Lee Jones and Annette Obrestad are going to take part in the Regent's Park 10km.
Running on behalf of the British Heart Foundation, the pair are currently appealing for sponsors ahead of their March 9 race.
While Lee and Annette are donning their trainers for a good cause, Daniel Negreanu is offering a night of fun and poker in return for people's generosity.
In an effort to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Daniel has pledged to reward four people who donate $2,500+ with a night of poker tuition in Las Vegas.
On top of this, Daniel will also match every donation made - up to a total value of $50,000 - until the end of the next week.

| Dwan on top again |
Tom "durrrr" Dwan has certainly made his presence known at the virtual felt in the last 36 hours.
Indeed, after finishing a two day session with over $1.3 million in profit, Dwan put in another impressive performance over the last 24 hours to scoop a further $524,281.
The dominate performance put him over $100,000 ahead of "punting-peddler" who banked an equally impressive $420,654.
With Dwan on an upswing, both Phil Galfond and Ivey were left counting their losses after a day of tough action.
The former topped the losers' chart after dropping $411,621, while the latter saw $354,316 disappear from their bankroll.
Also hit a rough patch yesterday, was: Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky (-$317,092), Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene (-$263,245) and "trader0811" (-$103,102).
Daily Signoff
Annette Obrestad might have flown under the radar in the last few years, but there's no denying that when she's on form she's capable of some world-class plays.
