You will be forgiven for missing this strange, but sad, story from the world of poker this week. Jilli, a Yorkshire Terrier from the UK, had to be put to sleep this month 16 years after her owners found her as a stray. 

Why has this story made it onto a poker website? Because of this:

Hellmuth eyes 14th bracelet

He has struggled so far in Melbourne after reporting having some minor breathing problems, but now the Poker Brat is well on his way. 

Phil Hellmuth is at the final table of the $2,200 Six Max event at the WSOP APAC, returning to the table 5th in chips. 

The first prize is $128,784 but I think we all know what really matters to Phil. The gold strap that would extend his all-time bracelet lead to 14, should he win in Melbourne this weekend. 

Poker Pro wins Fantasy Football Million

Think the game is getting too tough? Maybe you should try Fantasy Football instead. 

Several well-known poker players came close to winning $1 million in the 'Draftkings Millionaire Maker' including Aaron Jones, Brian Hastings and Tony Dunst. However, another poker player, Matt Smith, took it down for a cool million this week.
