A 20 minute tank for a WSOP-C ring

Thank god for shot clocks. This week a player had what my be the longest tank in poker history.

Heads-up for the WSOP-C Main Event title and $280,770, Michael Amen was facing an all-in for his tournament life on an  board. 

His opponent Taylor Hart had to wait for 20 minutes....yes 20 minutes, before he eventually folded.

When a player has been taking too long another player at the table can call the clock and force them to act within 30 seconds. That didn't happen here because they were heads-up and it seemingly suited Hart to let him ruminate on his decision. 

The whole thing has shades of this epic hand at the 2022 Main Event final table that took 18 minutes:

Hart eventually won the event, with Aman taking second for $187,172. He commented on the tank:

"I have good advice: if someone is tanking for a long time, have a very good hand. It makes the tanking experience a lot easier if you have it. I'd love to go into a different universe and not have a good hand and experience that 20-minute tank. I think that would be very hard."
