New Stars Store coming

Stars Store
A new Stars Store will launch next week

The PokerStars VIP Store was once the envy of the poker world, after several high profile players were able to turn their points into luxury items like a Porsche Cayman.

Now the store will be having a major relaunch during EPT Barcelona, which begins next week. A special pop-up store will feature at the event which will give a glimpse into what players can expect from the new store.

Not much is known what new items players can expect but Hugo Boss are an official partner for specialised merchandise.

PokerStars confirm DDoS attacks

We brought you the news earlier this week that last week partypoker and America’s Cardroom both were victim to DDoS attacks, with PokerStars also experiencing server issues.

Since then PokerStars had gone down several other times and yesterday they confirmed that it was indeed due to a DDoS attack:

These recent attacks on three major networks come shortly before a month of major guaranteed online festivals across many networks, including WCOOP and PowerFest, and look like specific attempts to extort money from the operators.

Filatov wins MILLIONS Russia

916 entered but it was a local player sponsored by the event host who eventually won it, as partypoker Ambassador Anatoly Filatov took down the partypoker MILLIONS Russia event this week.

He took down RUB 60,000,000 ($886,200) for his efforts to take down his third title at a partypoker festival.

The next MILLIONS event will conclude the current season at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham starting on October 1.
