A world record at the Triton Series

More records smashed in Jeju as the biggest six-figure buy-in field of all time is taking place right now in the Main Event.

Once again the first Triton stop of 2024 is shattering expectations. We have already seen their own records broken twice for the largest attendance, now a world record has been broken. 

The $100,000 Main Event is underway and it has attracted a staggering 216 entries. 

Not only is that a Triton record, that is the biggest six-figure buy-in field of all time anywhere. 

The previous record was the 2016 One Drop High Roller at the WSOP, which attracted 183 entries in total. 

One could theorise about why there has been such an uptick in attendance, and a lot of it has been down to how impressive previous events have been, but it's hard to imagine the recent rise of Bitcoin doesn't have a role in this. 

At the time of writing 41 players remain and $4.3 million is guaranteed to the eventual champion. You can watch it below:
