APT Macau: David Steicke leads after Day 1A
133 turned up to play in Day 1 A of the 2009 APT Macau Main Event. Of the 37 survivors, Australian Pro David Steicke leads the pack.
Participation in Day 1A of the Asian Poker Tour Macau Main Event was up by roughly 30% this year as 133 registered. By the end of the day, only 37 players were left in the running.
Defending champion Yevgeniy Timoshenko was not among one of the survivors as he could not get going during the day. In the end, a coin-flip sealed his exit as his

Australian pro David Steicke topped the field as he grew his 10,000 chip starting stack into a very respectable 86,200. Steicke who had just won the High Rollers event, doubled up in the very first hand of his tournament.Holding
