Barry Greenstein wins Event 26

The winner of the $1,500 Seven Card Razz Event is none other than Barry Greenstein. He left behind 452 further participants and secured a prize money of $158,659.

Greenstein was second in chips at the start of the final table and managed to avoid major confrontations. When only four players were left in the race, he switched gears and was able to quickly grab the chip lead.

Two-hour Heads-Up

In almost two hours the old champion prevailed over Chris Klodnicki. Greenstein went into the finale of the last two with a 2:1 chip lead, and was able to quickly extend it. In only a few minutes he managed to build up the chip lead to a 8:1 difference. The decisive hit wasn't meant to come that quickly though.

Klodnicki was able to inch closer again. After doubling up, he even began to increase the pressure on Barry again. Step by step he extended his stack and diminished the distance to Greenstein to less than 2:1, despite there being almost no showdown between the two.

After the break, Greenstein seized control again though. After Klodnicki called down a 2 – 7 straight for Greenstein, he only had about 110,000 chips left, or barely two big bets respectively. Shortly afterwards, Barry sealed the deal and secured the golden bracelet.

Third Bracelet for Greenstein

It was the third bracelet in Greenstein's impressive career. 2004 he won the $5,000 No-Limit Deuce to Seven Draw Event,
in which he finished third this year. A year later he was successful in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Event. Overall, he already cashed 35 times at the WSOP, reaching the final table 13 times.
Klodnicki experienced his first WSOP final table, and his second WSOP cash.
