Beat 'Em All: 1,503 Starters At Europe's Biggest Poker Tournament
An unbelievable 1,503 participants provided for Europe's biggest poker tournament in Austria last weekend. 150 players qualified for the finale on November 29th and 30th in the Casino Linz, and thus made it into the money.
All of them have secured at least €236. However, most of them will not be satisfied with this and aim for the top spot, which will be paid off with €25,700 – and this with a buy-in of only €100.
Many laughed, and many thought it's impossible to achieve when the Casinos Austria Group scheduled a tournament with a prize pool of €100,000
which only has a buy-in of €100. However, many doubters were put right on the weekend. Not 1,000 players flooded the casinos, but over 1,500 players wanted to participate and so pushed the prize pool over €140,000.
