Big names final table the ACR Venom events
Chris Moneymaker, Chance Kornuth, Alex Foxen and Yuri Dzivielevski all came close in the marquee events from Americas Cardroom.
If this final table had happened in a World Series of Poker event, we would have been talking about it for weeks. However, because it happened online, albeit in a huge online event, it almost got overlooked.
Last week, ACR concluded the latest iteration of their Venom tournament. The Mystery Bounty version of the $2,650 buy-in tournament attracted 3,233 entries, creating an $8,082,500 prize pool. At the same buy-in level, there was also a pot-limit Omaha mystery bounty tournament which attracted a field of 871 players and made a $2,177,500 prize pool.
The PLO tournament produced one of the most stacked final tables you are ever likely to see online. Chance Kornuth, Alex Foxen and mixed games beast Yuri Dzivielevski all featured.
Big names fall short
With fourteen bracelets between those three men, it looked inevitable that a big name was going to take it down. Chance Kornuth went the closest, coming in 2nd for $157,924 and $25 in bounties.
In the end, Mike Monroig took it down for $210,314 and $101,750 in bounties, calling his shot along the way:

Elsewhere, Main Event Champion and ACR Professional Chris Moneymaker made the final table of the No Limit version of this tournament. This is the third time he has final tabled this event.
He pocketed $477,02 and $50,000 in bounties when his tourney came to an end in 9th place.
The ultimate victor was 'YKOBLIUK', who took down the tournament for $532,918 and $91,920 in bounties, as well as the title.
