Bobby's Room renamed

If you are a fan of poker history you may want to look away now as one of the most iconic games in poker has been rebranded.

Bobby's Room was a high stakes private cardroom at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. It was named after Main Event champion and casino executive Bobby Baldwin.

It is home to 'The Big Game', the most coveted regular high stakes cash game in the world where people would regularly buy-in for $200,000+ and is frequented by the likes of Doyle Brunson, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman, Guy Laliberte and Phil Ivey. In many ways the show High Stakes Poker was an attempt to recreate the private game for our screens. 

Baldwin left MGM Resorts in 2018 to become the CEO of the Drew Las Vegas, which opens in 2022. Originally the Bellagio said the room would remain called Bobby's Room, but last month, slightly under the radar, it was renamed to the Legend's Room. 

It still hosts some of the biggest games in Vegas, with CardPlayer reporting that a $2,500/$5,000 big bet mixed game was running this week. However, for cash game grinders who dreamed of one day playing in The Big Game a little piece of history appears to have gone.
