Changes coming to the PokerStars lobby
Get used to 'filter view' as some of the tabs you are familiar with are being removed soon.
A small but noticeable change is coming to the PokerStars lobby next month as the 'legacy tabs' will be removed to separate cash, Zoom, MTT and SNG variants. They will be replaced with a more versatile filter view.
So some time next month the limit and stake tabs highlighted in red in the image below:
Will be replaced with a more robust filter system, like in the image below:
Players who already use the filter view system will not be affected. The Spin & Go section will also remain unchanged.
PokerStars expect the change to happen next month (exactly when will depend on the region you are playing in) and are making players aware ahead of time so they can familiarise themselves with the new system. A PokerStars representative commented that:
We understand that many players are comfortable with the tabs view and this is not a decision that was taken lightly. We maintained the tab system for a few years after the introduction of PokerStars 7. However, based on the percentage of people using it and with further development plans in the pipeline, this simplification will help us to continuously improve our software and develop features in a more streamlined way, which will benefit your overall poker experience.
To change to the new filter system you can do so via Settings > Lobby > Lobby Display, or you can do so per section by clicking the small gear icon and selecting the control style from the pop up panel.
Just last month PokerStars announced another significant software and rules change by removing the option to fold when you would otherwise have the option to check.
