The last few days in the live and online arenas have proved successful for two PokerStrategists: Marvin 'xcrash154' Rettenmaier and Benny 'psychobenny' Spindler.
Indeed, while Marvin took down the €2,000 Turbo side event at the EPT Grand Final for €43,400, Benny enjoyed some online success.
After lining up alongside 848 hopefuls in the opening "High" event of this year's SCOOP, Benny eventually walked away with his second online title.
The $2,100 No Limit Hold'em 6-max event attracted a host of accomplished pros all looking for the largest slice of the $1,700,000 prizepool, but as Day 2 developed it was Benny who took control.
Holding the chip lead with just six players remaining, Benny was able to outlast the finale's other notable player, JC Alvarado, to earn himself a heads-up battle with "€urop€an".
Despite holding a slight chip disadvantage, Spindler pushed even split of the $524,064 prizepool when a deal was discussed.
However, after looking at the numbers, "€urop€an" was unwilling to give Benny more than $251,000 and so the pair decided to continue as before.
Within 30 minutes of declining the deal Benny was able to seize the chip lead before claiming the $301,040 top prize after his pocket sevens held up against his opponent's

Price leads ISPT

Dusk Till Dawn's Rob Yong has been busy organising the ISPT over the last few weeks and earlier today he took some time to blog about its progress.
Having hosted the first of its live Day 1s last weekend, Yong explained that a total of 467 players sat down to compete for a place in Day 2.
Although the turnout was slightly lower than expected, Yong was pleased that the 46 qualifiers wasn't "a million miles away" from their target of 50.
Currently leading the way is Barrie Price who came through the first session with 183,800 chips, which means he'll start Day 2 inside Wembley Stadium with 919 big blinds.
With more Day 1s left to play, Yong is hopeful that they will reach their Day 2 target of 1,850 players when the second stage of the tournament commences at the end of May.

With a number of nosebleed regulars enjoying their last few days in Monte Carlo, Jannick "EDWARDHOPPER" Wrang was able to top yesterday's high stakes leaderboard.
After grinding his way through 1,867 hands, the Danish pro managed to bank $152,644 and finish the day ahead of Kyle "KPR16" Ray ($119,480), "HC_68" ($99,168) and "longerpig" ($98,857).
While Wrang was winning, "Odd_Oddsen" was losing. A tough session left the online grinder with a $100,949 which put them ahead of Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky whose $92,439 loss took his annual deficit to -$281,999.
