PokerStrategy.com and BarryCarter (pictured right) have been nominated for an award by the UK's largest amateur poker organisation: APAT.

Listed under the category of "Best Poker Media Provider", PokerStrategy.com has been recognised for its ongoing coverage of industry news and events.

Also in the running for the award are other respected news outlets such as Bluff Europe, WPT Magazine and PokerNews.

Voting closes on March 30 and the winner will be announced at the end of March at Dusk Till Dawn.

Lim's APPT winning heart in Seoul

PokerStars' recent jaunt to Seoul, South Korea, came to a conclusion over the weekend and when the festivities were over it was Aaron Lim who lifted the winner's trophy.

After three days of action the 222 players in the $2,700 event had been whittled down to a final table of eight.

Lim was the player in charge thanks to successful coup against Team PokerStars Online pro Naoya Kihara just before the finale.

Indeed, after seeing the field drop to five, Lim then watched as the finale's two females, Sixiao Li and Xuan Liu, hit the rail in quick succession.

With just three players remaining the surviving trio decided to cut a deal.

After coming to an amicable agreement, Lim proceeded to oust Nicky Tao Jin in third place ($93,000), before dispatching with Chane Kampanatsanyakorn ($91,000) to claim his first APPT title and $110,000.

Ray wins again

Kyle "KPR16" Ray continued his recent upswing with another healthy profit yesterday.

Having banked $615,944 on Saturday, Ray scooped a further $379,026 in the last 24 hours.

Ray's recent upswing of almost $1 million takes his annual winnings to $1,448,880 and puts him fifth on this year's overall leaderboard.

Also enjoying a winning day was the nosebleed world's other Kyle: Kyle "cottonseed1" Hendon.

The Canadian pro raked in a haul of $345,685 courtesy of "SallyWoo" (-$265,116), Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau (-$211,796) and Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (-$180,126) who all suffered losing days.
