Hellmuth Reflects on Number 12
It was the pinnacle of his career and a moment that will forever immortalise Phil Hellmuth in poker’s record books.
After letting his latest bracelet win sink in, Phil took a moment to update his blog and describe his thoughts after the event.
As well expressing his elation at the latest notch on his list of accolades, Phil complimented his opponents’ efforts for making it a memorable victory:
“I’m thrilled to extend my record of most career bracelets, and would like to thank all the players for a solid game.”

He may be more at home behind a microphone with Vince Van Patten on the World Poker Tour, but Mike Sexton is much a poker player as the people he watches over on a regular basis.
In a recent blog post, the Party Poker pro has been discussing his thoughts on the WSOP’s $1 million One Drop event, a tournament he describes as “great value for poker pros who are all trying to figure out how to get in.”
As for own participation in the tournament, he describes it as a thrill just being able to partake in the ultimate bucket list event and that, just like everyone else, he is “dreaming about winning it.”
High Stakes Corner
It was another relatively quiet day at the virtual felt yesterday with six-figure profits being scarce. One player who did managed to bank over $100K was "wilhasha".
The online grinder raked in $129,008 over the course of 3,996 hands. Some way behind "wilhasha", but still enjoying a profitable day, was Diogo "phounderAA" Veiga. The Portuguese player finished his session with a profit of $74,140.
In contrast, “PimpyLimpy” managed to lose $73,890 from their bankroll after a disastrous 2,583 hand session.

Liv Boeree has found a unique way to improve her chances of winning a bracelet at this year’s WSOP. A recent photo posted on her Twitter feed caught Liv playing the underdog in the $3,000 Six Max event.
The British player decided to stretch the “one player to a hand rule” to its limit by playing with a dog at the table.
While Liv and her canine companion are still alive in Event #23, two more WSOP bracelets were handed out yesterday.
Clifford Goldkind and Benjamin Scholl both claimed their first pieces of WSOP glory when they took down Events #19 and #20 respectively.
In other WSOP news, David Baker heads the pack going into tomorrow’s $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw event.
The American won’t have an easy ride though, as the likes of Layne Flack, Farzad Bonyadi, Shawn Buchanan and Josh Arieh are all still in the hunt for the title.
