Small stakes grinders and established pros turned out in force last night for the finale of PokerStars' MicroMillions 4.
A total of 68,081 players helped break the $1 million guarantee and push the winner's prize to $167,541.
After 12 hours, five players were left to discuss a deal.
Germany's 'rhonin69' put the most pressure on the short stacks, squeezing them until he got the $100,000 he wanted.
Indeed, after the tournament we spoke to 'rhonin69' and he said that he was "satisfied with [his] deal making skills" and that "sometimes after such deals players start playing badly"; however, he felt he played "pretty good".
After completing a deal 'rhonin69' hit the rail in third, leaving "Ges26" and Jason "appst08" Brauda to fight for the remaining $20,000.
In the final hand a succession of check-calls from Brauda left him without any chips after he found his 
hadn't hit the 
board as much as his opponent's pocket nines.

PokerStrategist Dominik 'ace0ntheriver' Nitsche continued his profitable 2013, yesterday, with a third place finish in the ANZPT Sydney Main Event.
At a final table that also featured Dan Kelly and recent ANZPT winner Dejan Divkovic, Nitsche was in command for much of the match.
However, a dose of bad luck with just four players saw Divkovic's pocket jacks outdraw Nitsche's pocket queens.
Now in a critical condition, Nitsche watched as David Campion hit the rail before following closely behind.
With just one player in his way it looked as though Divkovic was going to collect his second title in as many tournaments.
However, a determined performance by Dinesh Alt denied the Bosnian and secured him the largest win of his career.

| More money, more payouts |
Just days after switching to a new system, Microgaming has paid out three Bad Beat Jackpots.
On March 19 the first payout occurred when a nine-high straight flush was beaten by a jack-high straight flush at €50NL.
The winner of the hand banked an impressive €370,788; however, the player holding the jack-high straight flush hadn't paid the €0.02 opt-in fee and, thus, lost out on €184,945.
Two other players at the table had opted in, though, and received €47,134 each, while every other opted in player at €50NL received €897.
With one bonus already paid out a further two hit just a few days later. On both occasions two players missed out on payouts of €150,811 and €90,921.

| A good day for Blom |
Although modest by Viktor "Isildur1" Blom's standards, a $177,918 profit was enough to put him top of yesterday's high stakes leaderboard.
A brief 301 hand session put him above jenskyllonen ($159,810) and Dan Junglemandan Cates ($127,491).
At the other end of the spectrum, "1Il|1Il|1il|" saw $212,220 disappear from their bankroll after 945 hands.
Also losing a lot of money in short space of time was "cottonseed1" and "KidPoker705". The pair lost over $100,000 each in just 45 and 97 hands respectively.

It could have been the worst move Andras Koroknai ever made, but thanks to some divine intervention his WSOP life was saved.
