PokerStars' $1 million guaranteed Zoom took place yesterday and at the start of play 11,950 grinders lined up for the $109 event.
The early action saw the field cut to just 2,526 players by the time late registration closed and amongst those surviving the early cull was 2012 SCOOP winner "sandman201".
As the field thinned further, "sandman201" hit the rail in 17th place as the relentless pace set by Dejan "dejanaceking" Divkovic proved too much for the final few.
Indeed, such was the Bosnian's lead that any talk of a deal was rendered redundant as he eliminated almost every player in the finale before beating "Pumpingpoker" ($119,500) and "Klaus-tro-fo" ($83,650) to bank the $166,224 top prize.

Veteran WSOP dealer Richard Turnbull was tragically killed in a car accident late on Friday night.
The 86-year-old had been a regular at the WSOP for 38 years and dished out cards to some of the game's finest, including Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro who he was close friends with.
In a blog post following the incident, Caro explained how Turnbull was present on the day a rock accident ended Doyle Brunson's basketball dreams and effectively started his poker career.
Moreover, Turnbull was involved in a car accident which killed Caro's mother; one which Turnbull was able to walk away from.
Commenting on the tragedy, a WSOP spokesperson said that they were "devastated" to hear one of their own had died.

It's a complaint that some players often bring up, but it seems that this year the air conditioning inside the Rio has been taken to new lows.
Over the last few days a number of pros have been discussing the Arctic conditions, but it's Daniel Negreanu who has been the most vocal.
Tired of experiencing more than a cold deck, Daniel has called for the person in charge of the Rio's climate to be sacked.
Taking his frustrations to Twitter, he wrote: "In 2013 every major casino should be able to control the temperature. The Rio fails miserably, it's constantly 68 degrees and someone should be fired."
A number of pros joined the debate and, after turning up the heat on Jack Effel, the temperature was eventually adjusted.

A weekend of Open Series action produced host of new champions, but the most interesting story came from Events #41 and #42.
In an Open Series first, from the Netherlands finished second in both events, banking $485 in the process.

"no_Ola" continued his recent surge with another table-topping performance iin the last 24 hours.
After grinding through 1,588 hands he managed to bank $439,752 and finish the day ahead of Dan 
Junglemandan Cates (pictured right) who raked in $239,679.
In contrast to "no_Ola" and Cates, "samrostan" and Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky found themselves on the wrong end of variance.
After playing through 1,514 hands, "samrostan" finished as the biggest loser with a deficit of $354,812, just ahead of Sulsky who saw $286,395 disappear from his bankroll.
