Daniel Negreanu gate crashes high school home game

The viral moment of the Summer is perhaps KidPoker making a memories for a bunch of friends before they head off to college.





Daniel Negreanu has to be either the most famous or 2nd most famous poker player in the world alongside Phil Hellmuth (sorry losers, Dan Bilzerian does not count). Inevitably that makes him one of the candidates for the dream guest in a poker home game. 

That dream became a reality for a gang of high school friends who lived near Kid Poker last week. Approached while walking his dogs, Negreanu was invited to the home game of a group of friends who were about to embark on their first year in college. He was invited to their game and went on to post one of the most one-sided Twitter polls ever:

A few hours later he was at their party and ready to play some cards. He came with a bunch of GGPoker swag and a chipset, and sat down to play some cards with his new friends who were more than 30 years his Junior.

Negreanu went on to win the most money in the $0.25/$0.50 home game, but proceeded to put his winnings back in the pot as he left to let them play with it:

Negreanu might be an occasionally polarising figure within the poker community, but there is little doubt that he is a big star in more mainstream circles. He also tends to bring his A-game with public appearances like this. The initial video has had over 1.2 million views, no doubt making it one of the most-watched poker videos of the year.
