Danish Pro Theo Jorgensen Joins Team PokerStars Pro

One of the best-known poker pros coming from Denmark, Theo Jorgensen, has just joined Team PokerStars Pro. The 38-year-old pro, who made almost $2.5 million in live tournaments so far, said he was delighted to be signed with PokerStars.

With his poker career starting back in 1993, Theo Jorgensen (pictured right) can be considered as one of the most experienced players in the game. He has earned $2,410,519 from live tournament winnings so far, with over $1.1 million coming in 2010.

Some of his notable results include first place finishes at WPT Grand Prix de Paris for €638,377 (2010) and at WSOP Europe £5,000 PLO event for £218,626 (2008). He has also finished 4th at the PokerStars EPT stops in Deauville for €118,300 (2006) and in Copenhagen for $177,225 (2007).

Jorgensen newest Team PokerStars Pro member

The 38-year-old Jorgensen has now joined Team PokerStars Pro and when asked how he feels about it, he said:
"I'm delighted to be joining the world's largest poker site. PokerStars has always hosted the best poker events in the world and sponsors only the most talented players, so I am very excited to be a part of this."

PokerStars Nordic Director Michael Holmberg expplained as to why Jorgensen has been selected for the new member of Team PokerStars Pro:
"Theo Jorgensen is in every way a fantastic ambassador for poker. Both his impressive merits at the tables and his positive aura fall perfectly in line with PokerStars' values."

As a brand ambassador, Jorgensen will host the opening event of the Nordic Championship of Online Poker set to kick off on November 4.
