David Benyamine wins Event 37
The $10,000 World Championship Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Event went to the Frenchman David Benyamine who thus won his first bracelet. David almost dominated the final table at will.
Benyamine dominates
Amongst the last 18 participants, real veterans of the poker sports were found. Earlier Berry Johnston, Chau Giang and David
Chiu had combined almost 150 WSOP cashes. Nonetheless, it was Benyamine who prevailed in the finale. And he didn't only hold his ground, he dominated it. Especially after Mike Matusow dropped out, David was unstoppable.
Mike Matusow eliminated on Rank 5
Mike was the only player at the table who was able to deal with Benyamine's playing style. Nonetheless, he was sent to the rail on rank 5. After he had to give up a big and almost uncontested pot, he was the short stack and pushed his remaining chips across the line on the board of

David Benyamine started into the finale of the last two with a chip lead of almost 3.5:1, hoarding 3,665,000 chips in front of him. His opponent, Greg Jamison, had 1,035,000. The heads-up lasted about half an hour. After just a few minutes, Benyamine had extended his lead to over 4M chips.
